What type of counselling do we offer?
Open Skies Counselling offers lay Christian counselling, based off the Wholeness Counselling Model . This model equips people with an understanding of ourselves from both a theological and psychological perspective. Our counsellors are volunteers trained and equipped in this approach [they are not professional therapists]. They will work within their training and skills to assist you to work through any life-issues you may be facing, help you gain a holistic view of why you think, feel and behave the way you do and guide you toward a healthy relationship with God by offering Biblically-based tools and support.

How We Work
- Commitment from you to your weekly sessions | you will need to be able to attend weekly one-hour sessions, same day and time each week, for a period of 6-9 weeks.
- Diarising your sessions | Counsellors travel to our sites specifically for their weekly one-hour sessions. These counsellors volunteer their time and resources so we ask that you honour your session times.
- Counsellors May work in pairs | Our counsellors may work in pairs for both accountability, and as part of our Counsellor Mentor / Mentee Programme.
- We have a waiting list | As we are a predominantly volunteer based service, we do have a waiting list – the more flexible you are with your available times, the easier it is to find counsellors for you.
