Mordernist surreal, dramatic, and operatic thick torque collar sculptural solid 925 Sterling silver necklace by Taxco Mexican Silversmith Jose Octavio. Jose Octavio is well known for Modernist and Brutalist designs. Active primarily from the late 1970s through the 1980s, his work represents the newer Taxco era, yet it maintains the high quality, substantial weight associated with the classic mid century masters. The Silhouette of the necklace features a sophisticated V-shape contour, meticulously engineered to rest with "elegant confidence" against the collarbone. Its rigid yet slightly flexible "torc" design provides a seamless, open back fit that elongates the neckline.
